Rosa (Rosie) Pearl Scott, 91, of California, Mo., passed away June 7, 2017, at Moniteau Care Center, California Mo. She was born on November 19, 1925, the daughter of Emmett Oliver and Ruth Melissa (Jenkins) Rohrbach. On November 24, 1945, in California, Mo., Rose was married to Floyd E. Scott who preceded her in death on May 4, 1984. Rose was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church where she was very active with ministries including teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, serving on various church committees as well as being involved with Woman's Missionary Union (WMU). She was a homemaker in her early life and worked with her husband on their farm, with dairy cattle and harvesting crops. In later years, she worked at Cargill and retired from Burger's Smoke House in 1993. She enjoyed gospel music, gardening, embroidering, quilting and working jigsaw puzzles. Rose is survived by: two daughters, Linda Knaup and her husband John of California, Lana Hartman and her husband Kenneth of Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Carla Brown and her husband Steve of Jefferson City, Rachel O'Dell and her husband Justin of Holts Summit; four great-grandchildren, Emma Brown, Ella Brown, Wyatt Moore and Liam O'Dell; four sisters, Marion Dykes of Kingsport, Tenn., Lyda Rohrbach of California, Larna Morris of California, Doris Easley (Bill) of Cassville; four brothers, Loyd Rohrbach (Judy) of Jefferson City, James Rohrbach (Patsy) of California, Marvin Rohrbach (Cheryl) of Kingdom City, Glen Rohrbach (Nancy) of California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; one infant son, Russell D. Scott; one infant daughter, Barbara A. Scott; one grandson, John D. Knaup; two brothers, Paul Rohrbach and John Rohrbach; four sisters Ruby Rohrbach, Erma Wilhelm, Carol Barbour and Lucille Porter. The family will received friends at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Sunday, June 11, 2017, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service, Rev. Scot Thomson officiated. Interment was held at Flag Springs Cemetery.
