Cordelia (Dummermuth) Hoback

Cordelia (Dummermuth) Hoback, 94, of Grants Pass, Ore., passed away on February 10, 2017, at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center. She was born on September 26, 1922, to John and Gusta Dummermuth in California, Mo. She attended Pluck grade school and graduated high school in 1940 from California High School in Missouri. In 1941, she married her husband of 68 years, Layton Hoback in Pasadena, Calif. In 1946, after Layton returned from WWII, they moved to Chiloquin Ore. She is survived by: her son, Kenneth Hoback and his wife, Linda of Cave Junction, Ore.; brothers, Clyde Dummermuth (Betty), Stanley Dummermuth (Arlene) of California, Mo.; Noel Hoback (Sharon), Shaun Hoback (Brandi); five great-granddaughters all of Grants Pass, Ore. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Layton Hoback, in 2009; and an infant daughter Wanda, in 1947; and her parents. A memorial service was held for Cordelia on February 15, 2017, at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
