David "Pete" Cramer, 79, of Centertown, Mo., passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on August 2, 1937, in Centertown, Mo., the son of Beulah Cramer Paxton who preceded him in death. He was a graduate of California High School in 1955. He worked as a heating, cooling, and appliance repair man. He was very active in the Centertown Fire Department and Cole County Sheriff Department as a deputy. He was a member of the California United Church of Christ. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on cars, sprint car racing, and was very well known for his firedog Chief. Survivors include: special friend Barbara Glenn of California, Mo.; one aunt, Helena Cramer Kiessling of Columbia, Mo.; one cousin, Dr. Anita Kiessling Caver of Columbia, Mo. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. 12:00 noon with the funeral service following at 12:00 noon, all at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Jody Furhas-Wright. Burial will be at the Centertown Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Centertown Cemetery Association c/o the funeral home.
