John Frank 'Johnny Frank' Kubli, 67, of California, Mo., passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his home near California, Mo. He was born on September 22, 1949, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Frank "Chick" and Frances (Jenkins) Kubli, both of whom preceded him in death. John graduated from California High School in 1967, and in 1969 he graduated from Linn Technical School as an electrician. He was a lifelong cattle rancher on his family farm. For 31 years, John worked for Cargill, Inc. in California, in the maintenance department as an electrician. He also worked at the Callaway Nuclear Plant during its construction. John was an avid hunter, enjoyed wildlife, four wheeling with his grandsons, and barbecuing with his family. Throughout his life, John was a devoted son, father, grandfather and friend. John is survived by: his daughter, Sylvia M. Kubli and son-in-law, Matthew L. Christian; two grandsons, Maliki and Elric Christian; who all remain on the family farm near California, Mo. John also has numerous cousins. The family received friends at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Monday, May 15, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Windmill Ridge Funeral Home, Rev. Dr. Peter Kurowski officiated. Interment followed at the Masonic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the California Masonic Fellowship Association.
