Richard "Wayne" Zimmerman, 64, of California, Mo., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born on May 1, 1953 in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Frances Beatrice (Zimmerman) Smith, who preceded him in death. He was first married to Brenda Martin on October 30, 1971. He was later married on October 1, 1988 in California, Mo., to Pam (Rackers) Albin, who survives of the home. He was a graduate of Prairie Home High School in 1971. After graduating he worked as a truck driver owner operator, construction, concrete, electrical, plumbing and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, drag races, riding his Harley, boating, skiing, camping in the mountains and farming. He was a member of the Salem U.C.C. Survivors include: one son, Kevin Albin and his wife Julie of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Adrianna Wheeler and her husband Troy of Rocheport, Mo., Kimberly Rimel and her husband Rob Jr. of California, Mo.; two brothers, Bob Zimmerman and his wife Cindy of Clarksville, Mo., Jake Smith and his wife Debbie of Eolia, Mo.; one sister, Kitty Spegal and her husband Bill of Bowling Green, Mo.; one aunt, Marie Randolph of Fenton, Mo.; three grandsons, Quinton Gilpin, Justin Rimel, Brady Albin; three granddaughters, Kayle Rimel, Shelby Rimel, Zoey Rimel; four great-grandchildren, Rhilynn McArthur, Kaidyn Rimel, Grayson Wayne Lillevold, Axli Kiesling; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and three uncles. Visitation was held on Saturday, September 23, 2017 with a funeral service following both at the Salem U.C.C. Officiating was Rev. Eugene Moll. Burial was at the Salem U.C.C. Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Salem U.C.C. Church and Cemetery c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St. California, MO 65018.
