Theresa Louise Groce

GROCE Theresa Louise Groce, 57, of Barnett, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at her home. She was born on August 30, 1960, the daughter of Harley and Betty Ann (Jensen) Lewis, who preceded her in death. She united in marriage on June 30, 1997 in Eldon to Lynn Groce, who survives of the home. She was a 1978 graduate of Vienna High School in Vienna, Missouri and became a Certified Nurses Assistant. She worked for Eldon Nursing and Rehab for over 10 years. Theresa was a faithful member of the Eastside Assembly of God Church in Eldon. She enjoyed finding great bargains at garage sales and tending to beautiful flowers she planted and grew. She liked the creative art of crafting and sewing many beautiful pieces. Most of all, Theresa loved her children, grandchildren and family. The memories they made together will be forever cherished. She is also survived by six daughters: Jennifer Hollobaugh of Eldon, Angie Vincent of Eldon, Jaclyn (Jose) Xolo of Barnett, Tiffany Clark of California and Trisha Clark of California; two sons: Jeff (Cheryl) Lewis of Jefferson City and Joseph "Joey" (Leslie Duffy) Clark of Barnett; one brother: Steve Lewis of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters: Caroline Sue (Willie) Nelson of Rolla and Bonnie (Lloyd Roberts) Russell of Fulton; 30 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two daughters: Michelle Hollobaugh and Jessica "Jessy" Lewis; two grandchildren: Tyler Shane Harms and Jose Angel Xolo; one great-grandchild: Payton Catlin; and three brothers: Danny Lewis, Otis Lewis and Phillip Lewis. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Eastside Assembly of God Church in Eldon with Sister Buena Huffman officiating. Interment was private for the family.
