Sharon Kay Albin

Sharon Kay Albin, 62, of California, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 4, 1957, in California, the daughter of Charlie and Geneva (Newkirk) Albin, both of whom preceded her in death. Sharon graduated from Couch High School and was an active member of the California Church of God of Prophecy. She worked at Scholastic for 24 years. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing music, driving around and making all kinds of crafts. Her smile could light up a room. She is survived by: one brother, Jerry (Joyce) Albin of Boonville; one brother-in-law, Gerald Taylor of California; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Judy Lord and Trudy Taylor; and one brother-in-law, Dean Lord. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Lebanon Baptist Church, McGirk, with burial in California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the California Church of God of Prophecy. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S Oak, California, MO 65018.
