BROWN Lee Roy Brown, 70, of California, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at his home. He was born on November 3, 1948 in Searcy, Ark., the son of Charles E. Brown and Maggie (Wilson), both of whoM preceded him in death. Lee Roy was a United States Army Veteran who served and was wounded in the Vietnam War where he was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a retired truck driver. Lee Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, yardwork and gardening. He is survived by three sons, Mike Brown (Vivian) of California, David Brown of Kingston, and Blain Kiesling (Staci) of California; three brothers, Evert Brown of Hartsburg, Harold Brown of California, and Joe Brown of Clarksburg; five sisters, Maude Williams, Mary Mallinson, Bonnie Parker, Louise Osborn, and Lois Brizendine, all California; eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Viola Stepp; and two brothers, Eddie Brown and Jim Brown. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St., California, with Pastor Larry Marriott officiating. Burial with full military honors was at the California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, c/o the funeral home. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S. Oak St., California.
