Bertha Darlene Kliegel

Bertha "Darlene" Kliegel, 85, of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at Adams Street Place in Jefferson City, Missouri. She was born October 22, 1933, in Centertown, Missouri, the daughter of the late Alfred "Pete" and Carmen (Inglish) Murphy. On November 21, 1981, in Jefferson City, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Kliegel who preceded her in death on August 10, 1989. Survivors include: daughters, Diana Munoz of Kansas City, Kan., Connie Williams of Omaha, Neb., Becky Myers of Holts Summit, Mo., Frances Forbes of Omaha, Neb., Teresa Forbes of Omaha, Neb., Rita Reno of New Bloomfield, Mo.; sons, John Hunnius of Jefferson City, Mo., David Hall of Omaha, Neb., Wesley Hall of Jefferson City, Mo.; five stepchildren; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three brothers, Kenneth D. Murphy of Centertown, Mo.,, James "Jim" R. Murphy of California, Mo., Gary D. Murphy of Lake Ozark, Mo. A granddaughter and three sisters, Rosalene Forbes, Ethel Lampman and Joan "Joann" Kubli preceded her in death. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home of California, Mo. with the Funeral Service beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Nolin Wynn officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Centertown, Mo. Memorials in her name are suggested to New Hope Cemetery Association.
