Charles David Kaiser

Charles David Kaiser Sr., 79, of St. Joseph, Mo., formerly of California, Mo., passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. David was born on March 26, 1940 in California, Mo. to Golder and Bernice (Neiderwimmer) Kaiser. In 1958, David graduated from California, Mo. High School. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Johnson Controls after 30 plus years. He enjoyed watching sprint cars and attended the Knoxville National Races for over 50 years. He liked to watch westerns and loved playing old country music with his friends, Don Buckler and Mike Rampola. David played guitar and sang in numerous bands over the years. He continued to enjoy a lifelong friendship with his buddy, Jim Langkop. Survivors include: his children, Chuck Kaiser Jr. (Misty) and Russell Kaiser; step-son, Steve Moore (Connie); siblings, Patty Deatherage (Bill), Carolyn Walker (Virgil), Linda Flippin (Paul); grandchildren, Jacob, Jordyn, and Jalyn Kaiser; along with numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation and memorial service were held at Meirhoffer Funeral Home of St. Joseph. Cremation followed service.
