Frank Laurance "Larry" Wagner

Frank Laurance "Larry" Wagner, 79, of Centertown, Mo., passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at his residence. He was born on September 3, 1939 in Centertown, Mo., the son of Frank Wagner and Eddith Brackett, both of whom preceded him in death. Larry was united in marriage to Neville Siebert at the Centertown Baptist Church on November 19, 1960 who resides at the home. Larry, after graduating from California High School in 1956 worked in construction, farmed, managed a bulk fertilizer plant, managed a bulk oil plant and also served as the director of buildings and grounds for Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo. for 33 years. He was very active in the Centertown Baptist Church in Centertown, Mo. where he served as a deacon for 37 years and also taught Sunday School for 40 years. Larry enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, traveling, his mules, and most of all spoiling his grandsons and great-grandchildren. He loved his family more than anything in the world. Survivors include one daughter: Vicki Wagner Gerling of Centertown, Mo.; and two sisters: Sue Jasper of California, Mo. and Linda Gordon of Russellville, Mo.; two grandsons: Shane Templeton and wife Christin of California, Mo. and Trevor Gerling of Centertown, Mo.; two great-grandchildren: Trenton and Leah Templeton, both of California, Mo. Funeral Services were held at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home Chapel in California, Mo. on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 with Bro. Stephen Bickel officiating, assisted by Shawn Dumsday and Bro. Ed Engle. Burial followed at the Centertown City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Centertown Baptist Church or 3MT "Mid Missouri Mission Team", c/o the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
