Alta Rosemary Goldammer

GOLDAMMER Alta Rosemary Goldammer, 93, of Jefferson City, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family. Rosemary was born September 6, 1925, in Lohman, Missouri, the youngest of two children to Oscar H. and Pauline Rockelman Schubert. She was baptized September 30, 1925, at St Paul's Lutheran Church, Lohman, Missouri, by Pastor A. Biedermann and confirmed March 17, 1940, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Russellville, Missouri, by Pastor O. Rossback. She attended rural Moniteau County school "Surprise", graduated Valedictorian from California High School in 1944, and was looking forward to her 75th reunion next month. On October 16, 1949, Rosemary was united in marriage with Tommy E. Goldammer at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Russellville by Pastor J.J. Haberaecker. They were blessed with three children. Rosemary was first employed as a stenographer at the Missouri Department of Health from 1944 until 1952 and then Rosemary, along with her husband, Tommy, owned and operated the Goldammer's Dairy, continuing as a mother, caregiver for her mother and husband Tommy, and homemaker her whole life. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Trinity Lutheran Women's Auxiliary, holding various offices including president. Rosemary was an Honored Lifetime Member. Survivors include, one daughter, Judith Bangert and husband Gary of Jefferson City, two sons, Stephen Goldammer and wife Pam of Kansas City, Missouri, David Goldammer and wife Susan of Salina, Kansas; eight grandchildren: Christine Bangert Henson (Chris) Lee's Summit, Rachel Nieves (Nelson) Apopka, Florida, Danny Goldammer(Lindsay) Lee's Summit, Bethany Goldammer, Kansas City and Jessica Thompson (Robert) Greenwood, Julie Bangert of Lenexa, Kansas, Jason Bangert of St. Louis, Missouri, and Matthew Goldammer of Salina, Kansas, three great-grandchildren: Cayden, Chloee, and Cooper Goldammer of Lee's Summit and one brother Roy Schubert of California, Missouri. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, on September 2, 2005, and her parents. Her family will greatly miss her gentle nature and unfaltering faith and trust in God. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home in Jefferson City. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Samuel Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, Trinity Lutheran Women's Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran School, or Calvary Lutheran High School.
