Ruby L. Connell

Ruby L. Connell, 93, of California, formerly of Marion, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at California Care Center in California, Mo. She was born on March 03, 1926 in Miller County, Mo. to Ray and Flora (Hoskins) Duncan. On December 15, 1945, Ruby was married to Clarence "Hoolie" Connell in Tipton, Mo. Ruby loved sewing, babysitting, reading and working puzzles. Her family treasures the Hallmark Christmas ornaments she individually selected for each of them. Ruby is survived by a son, Robert Keith Connell (Kay) and her daughter, Beth Rohrbach (Larry), all of California; one daughter-in-law, Pamela Connell Liebi (Steve); five grandchildren, Sean Connell, Sha Fortner, Eva Rohrbach, Courtney Keller, and Kevin Connell; five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Alma Jane Sauve of Portland, Ore.; and several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Hoolie Connell; two brothers; and two sons, Clarence "Sonny" Connell and Patrick Dean Connell. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service with Rev. Russell Cobb officiating. Interment was at New Hope Cemetery.
