Norman S. Hunt

Norman S. Hunt, age 81, of Lincoln, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, Missouri. He was born on March 3, 1931 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Joseph W. and Alice (Spencer) Hunt.
He grew up in Clarksburg, Missouri and graduated from Clarksburg School in 1949 as the class Valedictorian. He then began work for Dunn Beverage in Sedalia and later worked as a lineman for Par Electric in Nebraska and B&L Electric in Clinton, Missouri.
On November 22, 1975 he was united in marriage to Mildred Gaylord Lionberger in Clinton. They made their home in Windsor and owned and operated Windsor Doughnut Shop for sixteen years. After retiring they moved to Lincoln and have lived there since 1990. Norman enjoyed bowling, fishing and dancing in his younger years. In his later years he enjoyed watching Westerns and his oatmeal pie for breakfast and a Milky Way for snack.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Yvonne Joan Watring, a half brother,
Thomas Paul Hunt, one stepson, Leo Lionberger and a grandson, Jeremy Knudson. He is survived by his wife Mildred, of the home, five children; Joseph, Susan, Michael and Celeste Hunt, all of Sedalia and Sam Hunt, of Savannah, Georgia, two step-daughters, Kathy Williams, of Windsor and Karan Dennis, of Lincoln, one brother, Warren Dean Hunt, of Warsaw, twelve grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his miniature dachshund, “Dot.”
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home, in Warsaw Missouri. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
