Alan Bolin, 49, of California, MO, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO with his family by his side.
He was born on October 17, 1964, in Jefferson City, MO.
He was the son of Gene and Helen (Welch) Bolin.
He was married on August 26, 1995, at the St. Martin’s Catholic Church, to Kim Kelsay who survives of the home.
Alan attended the Annunciation Catholic Church in California, MO.
He was previously the owner of the Wash House Laundromat in California, MO. He also worked for ABB, Maytag, Simpson Tobacco Company, MFA Oil, and L & W Construction.
Alan was a 1983 graduate of California High School and a 1988 graduate of Central Missouri State University with a degree in criminal justice.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as watching sports. He loved spending time with his son Austin, the two were inseparable. Alan was also an animal lover.
Alan is survived by his mother Helen Bolin of California, MO; one son, Austin Bolin of the home; one brother, Darrell Bolin and wife Sheila of Tipton, MO; one sister-in-law, Susan McPeak and husband Mark of St. Louis, MO; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Paula Kelsay of California, MO; his grandmother-in-law, Ethel Kelsay of California, MO; 5 nieces and nephews, Holliann Bolin of Springfield, MO; Wyatt and Tristan Bolin of Tipton, MO; and Madden and Quinn McPeak of St. Louis, MO.
Alan was preceded in death by his father Gene Bolin, on May 1, 2010.
Funeral services will be at the Annunciation Catholic Church, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Annunciation Catholic Cemetery, California, MO. Officiating will be Father Fred Elskamp.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the Austin Bolin Education Fund c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home.
