Stephen (Steve) Roy Miller, 56, of Jefferson City, passed away, Friday, May 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born September 4, 1956, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of Roy and Katheryn (Grieshammer) Miller.
He was united in marriage on September 16, 2000, in Jefferson City to Terrie Pointer, who survives at their home.
Steve was a 1974 graduate of California High School and went on to graduate from Central Missouri State University at Warrensburg, where he earned a degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.
He was employed by Lincoln University as Warehouse Manager. He was previously employed at Furniture Factory Outlet and was traffic manager at Florsheim Shoes for over 22 years.
Steve was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and was an avid Mizzou, Cardinals and Chiefs fan. He cherished the time spent with this family and friends, especially his five grandchildren.
Along with his wife Terrie, he is survived by his two children: Eric Miller (Rhena Davis) and Stephanie Miller (Emilio Juarez) both of California; three step-children: Mallory Maddox (Clint Ainsworth) of Holts Summit, Rachel Hatfield (Ryen) and Kyle Maddox (Grace Cook) both of Jefferson City; mother: Katheryn Miller of California; sister: Linda Hayes of California; five grandchildren: Preston Miller, Adriana Miller, McKinsey Hatfield, Dalton Ainsworth and Colten Hatfield; three step-grandchildren: Kerry Graham, Ashlyn Moore and Zoie Moore; father and mother-in-law: Jerry and Barbara Pointer of Holts Summit; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Kevin and Nancy Plaster of Centertown; brother-in-law: Mitchell Pointer of Kirksville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father: Roy Miller; sister: Patricia Miller; and brother-in-law: Curtis Hayes.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Tony Alter officiating. Interment will follow in Annunciation Catholic Church Cemetery in California, Missouri.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Calvary Lutheran High School or the American Heart Association.
