City of California Utilities Superintendent Gary Wells will retire on Dec. 31 after more than 40 years with the city. Behind him is a bucket truck which he said is a great improvement over the laddrs he used when he started as a lineman.

Gary Wells to Retire as California Utilities Superintendent

Gary Wells, long-time California Utilities Superintendent, will retire on Dec. 31. On Dec. 30, from 2 - 4 p.m, there will be a punch and cake reception in the City Hall Public Meeting Room. Full and part time, Wells has worked for the city 43 years. He began as a part time employee during the summers of 1967 and 1968.
