The Moniteau County Retired Teachers Association were recently recognized for playing a part in community service projects. Holding a check representing the value of volunteer service of retired teachers across Missouri — $6,643,977.60 — are, from left, Vice President Dennis Donley, Secretary/Treasurer Susan Borts, Membership Chair Beth Jungmeyer and President David Jungmeyer.

The Missouri Retired teachers' Association (MRTA) encourages its 17,500 members of local units statewide to be involved in community service projects which make a difference for local children, families and residents.
