The City of California Electric Department is on the scene with a bucket truck shortly after an unexpected break of a powerline at the California Pizza Hut on Tuesday, May 31. The broken power line caused large scorch marks where it struck the metal roof of the building. According to management, the break occurred about 7:30 p.m. causing the business to close for the evening. The business was able to reopen at 11 a.m. as usual on Wednesday. Electric workers arrived on the scene quickly to repair the break while the City Fire Department stood by in case of need.
