Present for the grand opening of the California branch of Verizon Wireless Friday afternoon was Y107's Cosmo, at left, speaking with Verizon Regional Sales Manager Will Blomenkamp. The grand opening also featured a raffle, a bounce house and hot dogs, chips and drinks. Christopher Black, salesman for the California branch of Verizon Wireless, said, "We've had a really good response. Today we were represented by Putnam's Chevrolet, California Ford and Spielers, Inc. and we're very fortunate to have had a lot of support from Village Green for the raffle, which brought a lot of people out here today. I can't say enough about our neighbors, the Flower Shop, LJ Fashions, and C & R; they have been so kind. We appreciate all of the donations from local businesses for the raffle."
