California Mayor Norris Gerhart signs a proclamation declaring the month of March as "Music In Our Schools Month." Those in attendance for the signing Friday, March 4 at the California High School Performing Arts Center are students, teachers and officers for the Tri-M Music Program at California. The National Association for Music Education (MENC) designated March as "Music In Our Schools Month" focusing on the theme "Music Lasts a Lifetime."
