Student Conservation Day participants are given a quick lesson in the use of a Dumpy Level by N.R.C. S. employee D.J. Schroeder, seen in the right back part of the photo. The use of a Laser Level and receiver were also demonstrated for the students.

Many fifth and sixth grade students and teachers from California R-I, Clarksburg C-2, High Point, Latham R-V, Jamestown C-I and St. Andrew's at Tipton, attended Student Conservation Day on Tuesday, May 1, at the Moniteau County Fairgrounds in California.
