California's Sydney Deeken clears the bar in the High Jump event at the district track meet Saturday at Wardsville. Deeken finished the event in first place with 5'4" to earn All-District honors and advance to Class 2 Sectionals Saturday at Centralia.

The California High School varsity track team competed at the Tri-County Conference track meet Tuesday, May 1, hosted by Blair Oaks, Wardsville, where the Pintos and Lady Pintos finished in third place.
