RUSSELLVILLE — Taylor Young has won the Missouri FFA Fruit Production Entrepreneurship and Placement Combined Proficiency Award.
The junior at Cole County R-I High School competed at the 85th Missouri FFA Convention recently.
She grows strawberries for her supervised agricultural experience.
The Fruit Production Entrepreneurship is one of 49 proficiency award areas, which recognize members who excel as agricultural entrepreneurs, employees or volunteers.
Young sells fresh strawberries and jam. She has developed skills in marketing, fruit processing and pest protection.
