Young Pintos gain experience at CES Football Camp
Participants of the California Elementary School Football Camp are timed on their running speed Wednesday afternoon. "This way we could see who is the fastest," Camp Director Ed Ziegs said. "Then we played 7-on-7 ball to work on passing." The camp was held July 22-24 at the middle school practice field, where approximately 43 area youth in grades 2-6 participated. "We worked on basic fundamentals, doing drills for technique for passing, blocking and tackling," Ziegs said. Coaches who assisted at the camp were Don del Rosario, Dennis Davis and Andy Bieri, as well as some coaches from the California Youth Football Club, including Jeff Green, Brad Friedmeyer and Chris Pickering. Several Pinto football players were also on hand to help out.
