The Russellville High School varsity boys cross country team finished the Show-Me Conference cross country meet Oct. 2 at Mokane in a tie for first place with Fatima, but lost the tiebreaker to finish in second place. "Fatima is ranked first in Class 2 and has a solid team," Russellville Coach Craig Miller said. "We edged out state-ranked Linn, who was right behind us. The Show-Me Conference is by far the toughest small school conference for cross country in the state." From left are Russellville's Alex D. Thompson, Alex M. Thompson, Nick Haslag, Jamie Porter, Anthony Bertucci and Matthew Fringer. All-Conference honors went to Alex M. Thompson, who placed third overall, Haslag who finished seventh, Porter who placed ninth and Bertucci who finished 10th.
