I remember these in 1959 the first year of football. You were given a salt tablet but no water until it was over. Gatorade not yet invented. Larry Hume, CHS Class of 1961.

My condolences to the Snyder family. Her son Jim and I graduated from high school together and I remember Mrs. Snyder as a wonderfully kind lady.
Oh yea I remember doing the same thing as a kid. Sleds looked a bit different back in the day. Do they still block off traffic for the sledders? Kids here in Center, Texas don't get to have this kind of fun very often.
