High Point Graduate Jill Blankenship Named FFA Area 8 Representative

High Point Graduate Jill Blankenship, a senior at Eldon High School, was recently named the FFA Area 8 Representative.
High Point Graduate Jill Blankenship, a senior at Eldon High School, was recently named the FFA Area 8 Representative.

Being an FFA state representative has been a goal since she was a freshman in high school according to Jill Blankenship, FFA Area 8 Representative. Blankenship, who attends Eldon High School, was interviewed and selected at an FFA Area Activity in Tipton, Wednesday, March 23. She said since she set her goal of being a state representative, she has worked and done all the steps to prepare to be ready to serve.

"Getting my name called and hearing I was selected as the representative for Area 8 was incredibly exciting," Blankenship said. "Going from being a representative for Eldon FFA to being a representative for the whole state of Missouri is something hard to comprehend. I have gone from representing 250 people to 25,000. So I am almost overwhelmed but excited about the impact I am going to be able to have as a state officer."
