Randy Lueckenotte, RHU, LUTCF, Wallstreet Group, and Bobby Medlin, CPA, who owns three offices in California, Tipton and Lake Ozark, were the special guest speakers at the informational meeting held Tuesday, June 26, at the City Hall hosted by the California Area Chamber of Commerce.

Topics discussed included the Health Care Reform Law passed in 2010 and the changes due to take place in 2014 and various ways businesses and individuals can get reimbursements through health care plans among other topics.

"We were asked to put together some quarterly meetings to help businesses which are chamber members and are employers," said Marla Wright, chamber board member and chairwoman and organizer of the informational meeting. "They contribute to the chamber, and we wanted to show them ways in which we can give back to those employers in our area. These informational meetings are a start, and tonight we talked about important issues for many in the community."

Wright said she believes those who were present learned a lot and could walk away with some very useful knowledge. Medlin said of those present nine out of 10 were actively involved and participated in the meeting, asking questions. He commended the chamber for organizing the meeting, which brought together a professional from both the insurance and tax and accounting industries to share their knowledge with local business owners.
