Wanted man apprehended in Moniteau County

Moniteau County sheriff's deputies apprehend a wanted man on Tuesday near Enon.

According to a sheriff's department press release, Timothy F. Whittle, 28, was involved in a police pursuit in Cole County in early June, but was not apprehended at that time. On Tuesday, the deputies went to a residence on Ponderosa Road, which is just outside Enon, where Whittle had been reported as staying.

The law enforcement officers tried to make contact, and surrounded the residence. After several attempts at contact, Whittle came out of the residence and surrendered to deputies.

Whittle was taken into custody with the following charges: felony warrant for unlawful firearm possession, bond set at $10,000 cash only, Cole County; and felony warrant for parole violation - Probation and Parole, no bond.
