4-H members briefed on how to fill out reports

The Show Me 4-H held its June meeting June 7 at the McGirk Community Building. Club leader Gary Reichel presented the program on how to fill out the project reports.

Gary Reichel delivered pig feed to the Johansens in Tipton on Tuesday afternoon.

Addison and Allison Reichel and their cousin Korbyn Dickerson attended volleyball camp Monday through Thursday at California. Addie, Allie and Aiden are all three enrolled in two weeks of swimming lessons.

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Michael Kelsey of Centertown. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Melba, along with one son, four daughters, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The Centertown Baptist Church hosted its last lesson in the book "Living A Chocolate Life" on Saturday, June 12. In July, the church will begin a new series; all are invited to start with this women's small group Bible study.

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Derek Watson, whose home was east of McGirk on Railroad Avenue. Like his wife, Lorie, he died from cancer.

Gary Reichel spent time Friday and Saturday clipping cattle in Sedalia at the Junior Cattlemen's All Breed Show.

On Saturday evening, Gary, Amanda and Aiden Reichel joined daughters, Addison and Allison and Amanda's parents, Jim and Clare Herriman, at their Lake of the Ozarks cabin.

Welcome home to the youth group that spent the week at MFuge in Biloxi, Mississippi. Congratulations to the team that won the mega relay. They also received the best team spirit award, a Fugie.

The birthdays of Glen Rohrbach and Mark Miller and the wedding anniversary of Jim and Cara Holliday were announced at Sunday morning services.

Brother Jeremy welcomed the congregation, gave the scripture reading from 1 Corinthians 10:1-16 and the invocation.

Praise team members were Kayla Barnard, Kennedy Barnard, Cara Holliday, Emily Bilyeu accompanied on the piano by Kendra Witthaus.

The call to worship was the hymn "Blessed Be the Name," followed by the hymn "Lily in the Valley. The offertory hymn was "Victory in Jesus" with Jim Holliday giving the offertory prayer.

Special music was presented by the praise team that were joined by Kendra Witthaus and Brother Jeremy on the hymn 'Evidence."

Brother Jeremy delivered the message from Exodus 14:1-14 entitled YHWH We'll Fight for You.

Brother Jeremy had the benediction and the closing hymn was "Only Trust Him."

Johnny and Linda Reichel attended the 7:30 a.m. Mass at St. Martins.

More than 50 gathered Sunday for the Leonard family reunion held at the Annunciation Church basement. Patrick and Becky Leonard will host the reunion in 2022. A carry-in lunch was enjoyed at noon. Barb Glenn was the oldest present, and the youngest were the twin daughters of Nick and Kia Cain.

Attending Tucker Cook's baseball game Monday night at Jamestown was LaVerne Cook; Jamestown played Prairie Home. On Thursday, LaVerne Cook and Jackie Holzberlein watched Cook play in the game between Jamestown and California.

Bonnie Dutcher and LaVerne Cook attended the community play at the Finke Theater on Saturday night.
