The California boys golf team made a return trip Monday to Sedalia Country Club as one of 20 teams participating in the Sacred Heart Invitational.
Last week, California struck gold twice with first-place finishes at the Southern Boone Classic on Wednesday and the Russellville Invitational on Thursday. Will Boyd, of the Pintos, finished first in the individual standings in both events.

When the tournament ended and the final scores were tallied, California finished in second place, behind only Grain Valley, with an overall score of 329. Boyd continued with dominant play with his third consecutive first-place finish in the individual competition with a score of three-over par. Fellow sophomore Jackson Hackett tied for seventh place at 12-over, while freshman Ayden Howard tied for 13th at 15-over.
