Russellville boys basketball will have a new head coach next fall as Ron Lebel will take over the program next season.
Lebel is a physical education/health teacher and boys basketball coach who has 24 years of experience. Lebel attended Mineral Area College where he played basketball and baseball, then finished his education at College of the Ozarks.
Lebel, who is tied for 15th in Missouri with 372 career wins, has coached at several schools in his career, including California and Montgomery County.
While at Montgomery County, Lebel's teams won two district championships. Lebel said he is committed to working hard and getting the most out of each individual player putting them in situations where they can succeed. He also thoroughly enjoys working with the younger players to build a basketball program throughout all levels of the school.
Lebel and his wife, Danielle, have two children, Carson (age 10) and Tynleigh (7).
