Sometimes it takes a little more room to properly provide a service.

California's Coats and Tails Grooming recently broke ground to build an addition to its business.

Owner Charlie Brauner told the Democrat after offering various services such as boarding, nail trimming, hair cuts, de-shedding treatments and much more, she wanted to expand one of these aspects to give her clients more options.

Brauner will open up a new boarding facility for pets within the next few months. The facility will neighbor her business on 101 South Oak St., and will be large enough to accommodate animals for as long as their owners would require.

She said although she already provides boarding for pets, she wants a fresh facility that is more spacious, welcoming and inviting to the community. Brauner said she wants to build a space where her clients know their pets are well cared for while clients go on vacation or enjoy other things away from them.

Her goal is to have it complete and ready for any new pets around the Thanksgiving holiday. There are currently plans for 10 new kennels to be installed as well as two more sizable areas for multiple pets or for a pet requiring additional space.

Brauner wants Coats and Tails to continue growing bigger and becoming better as she offers more services to her clients.

Brauner said she would like the community to know all the services Coats and Tails Grooming has in store. She explained many people do not initially know her business offers boarding for pets, however, if any client would need to have their pet taken care of, all they would need to do is call.
