High Point R-III School adds new teachers, Newline boards

High Point R-III welcomes two new educators to its staff for the 2022-2023 school year. Karen Hirst has been hired to teach middle school science and K-8 art, while Mackenzie Limbach joins High Point as a first-year teacher in the fifth grade classroom.

"Mackenzie (completed) her student teaching in Iberia," said Principal Superintendent David Franks. "(Karen) is coming from Jefferson City."

Hirst carries 20 years experience in education, with positions in Jefferson City Public Schools, Columbia Public Schools, and Mizzou Academy, according to the High Point Facebook page. Limbach recently obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Methodist University, her time in Iberia spent in the third grade classroom.

Upgrades to the building include middle school bathroom renovations and replacing current whiteboards with Newline Interactive touch-display boards.

Classes resume Aug. 24. For more information on the upcoming year, visit highpointr3.com or their Facebook page, facebook.com/highpointr3.
