Jefferson City woman injured in Moniteau County crash

A Jefferson City woman was moderately injured in a Moniteau County crash Saturday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Yolanda Blandford Paton, 65, of Jefferson City, was driving a 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser compact SUV southbound on U.S. 50, near its connector.

Shortly after 1 p.m., Paton attempted to cross the westbound lanes of the highway and was struck by a 2016 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Amanda Clutter, 30, of Tipton.

Clutter's vehicle received extensive damage while Paton's vehicle was totaled and she received moderate injuries. Paton was transported by EMS to SSM St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City.
