Cal's Thriftway is closing its in-store pharmacy after 18 years of operation.
The pharmacy has been serving the California community since 2004, however, it will officially be shutting its doors after the retirement of store pharmacist Dan Crider.
According to store management, Cal's Thriftway was unable to find a pharmacist to run the operation after Crider's departure.
Crider told the Democrat the pharmacy will close June 30. He said Bond's Pharmacy will be taking over the electronic files for customers' prescriptions. He emphasized customers who do not wish to transfer their prescriptions to Bond's Pharmacy must contact Cal's Thriftway independently.
Management at Cal's Thriftway has not made any decisions to alter or change the pharmacy portion of the store during this time.
