Miller County fugitive arrested

A man wanted by Miller County authorities was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Camden County.

According to a news release from the Camden County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded at about 3 p.m. at a residence on Route A in Linn Creek for a disturbance. The caller said a relative told her there was a man on their property who was not supposed to be there.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted a man they suspected from previous contact to be Ryan Pierce, who was wanted for a serious assault April 24 in Miller County when he allegedly bit a man's ear off.

When talking to deputies, Pierce reportedly gave deputies a false name and date of birth. After confronting him with that suspicion, Pierce allegedly admitted to being the person authorities were looking for and was arrested without further incident.

Pierce was booked into the Camden County Jail on the Miller County warrant with a bond amount of $150,000.
