A sexual abuse case against a Russellville man was dismissed just before it was scheduled to go to trial this week.
Court records state Cole County prosecutors dismissed the charge against Travis Edwards, 43, "with prejudice." This means prosecutors cannot refile the same claim against Edwards.
Edwards had been charged after an alleged assault occurred in January 2020.
