The Mid-Mo Ambulance District Board of Directors met on May 11 at the District Office in Tipton to discuss hourly pay rates.

Members present were Cody Worthley, Becky Holloway, Brenda Lapp, Brad Stuedle and Earl Reuter.

The board presented the treasurer's report for the month of April. Funds on hand ended in a total balance of $1,175,517.82. Holloway made the motion to approve the report and Stuedle seconded with all members voting to do so.

Administrator Lee Kempf presented the board with the current base hourly pay scale for EMTs and paramedics. He said because surrounding services have made significant adjustments to their salaries, he feels the district needs to adjust theirs as well to stay competitive.

He presented the board with the proposed wage scale, which increased each hourly base by $1.00 for EMTs and paramedics. Kempf added this would include employees past the 10-year mark. The increase took effect on May 22 at the beginning of a new pay period.

Kempf stated the Unit truck is being remounted and inspected. He hopes to have it in Columbia for the final touches. He added Unit 5, which is the sister truck to Unit 1, would be the next one to go for remounting. He said it has over 350,000 miles and is being run nearly every day. He looks to send it out around November when the summer is over.

Run stats for the month of April were also presented. The results are as follows: Tipton reported 54 calls with 38 transports; California reported 73 calls with 50 transports; Versailles reported 212 with 128 transports; and total calls district wide were 339 with 216 transports for a transport rate on patient contact calls of 75.8 percent.

The next Mid-Mo Ambulance meeting is set for Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 7 p.m. and will be held at the District Office in Tipton.
