A Cole County Sheriff car lead the way for the Russellville Homecoming parade Friday.

The parade started at the high school, headed east on Jefferson Road and West Railroad Avenue before heading south on Hatler Street to continue on Route C. The parade eventually circled back around by heading north on Simpson Street.

Hundreds of people donned blue to show their Russellville Indian pride.

A traffic jam -- an unusual sight in Russellville -- occurred as floats turned into the high school parking lot off Jefferson Road. While community members were likely unhappy with the wait, children in the area were happy to get more candy from the ordeal.
