California man crashes truck in heavy rain

Weather may have played a role in a Tuesday morning crash in Cole County that injured a California man, according to Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

Quinton Mantle, 21, was driving a Chevrolet 3500 westbound on U.S. 54 near Route E at 7:53 a.m. in heavy rain, according to the report.

Mantle lost control of the truck, went off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Mantle, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Capital Region Medical Center for treatment.
