Republican incumbent Blaine Luetkemeyer's campaign has more than $2.5 million on hand as the candidates for Missouri's 3rd Congressional District enter the last leg of the race.
Luetkemeyer's campaign war chest is 422 times the size of Bethany Mann's, his Democratic challenger.
The St. Elizabeth native raked in $466,010 in campaign contributions during the most recent reporting period, according to the latest campaign finance reports submitted to the Federal Election Commission on Oct. 15. Mann had $6,125 in cash on hand at the end of the reporting period and raised $6,698 during the roughly 2-1/2 months.
Luetkemeyer and Mann are running for Missouri's 3rd Congressional District, one of the state's eight representatives sent to the U.S. House. U.S. representatives serve two-year terms with an annual salary of approximately $174,000.
Luetkemeyer, who has been in Congress since 2009, had more than $3 million on hand at the beginning of the reporting period, which contains contributions and expenditures between July 14 and Sept. 30. His campaign spent approximately $925,078 during the same period.
More than $176,800 of Luetkemeyer's contributions this period came from individuals and $288,300 came from political action committees (PACS). Throughout the entire election cycle, $992,170 has come from individual donors and $1.3 million has come from PACS.
Luetkemeyer has raised $2.3 million this election cycle and spent $2.1 million on his re-election bid so far this year.
Mann, a Brentwood mother and agricultural scientist, had approximately $3,042 on hand at the beginning of the reporting period and her campaign spent about $3,866 this period.
Approximately $4,550 of Mann's contributions this period came from individual donors while $2,150 came from PACS. Throughout the entire election cycle, individual donors have contributed $6,893 to the political newcomer's campaign and PACS have donated $2,150.
Mann has raised $12,816 this election cycle and spent $6,690 on her congressional run so far.
The general election is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
