Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Moniteau County.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show the crash occurred around 5:14 p.m. on South Missouri 5, a half-mile south of Koechner Road.
George Simon, 39, of Kansas City, attempted to pass a tractor-trailer, driven by Lerain Lewis, 65, of Sturgeon, with oncoming traffic. Simon struck the driver's side of the tractor trailer, then went off the right side of the road and overturned.
Simon was treated for minor injuries while his passenger, April Stillman, 31, of Kansas City, was treated for serious injuries. Both were wearing seat belts and were transported to University Hospital in Columbia. Lewis had no reported injuries.
