Crash injures Jamestown man


A Jamestown man suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash late Saturday morning.

According to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report, Daniel Burton, 61, at about 10:55 a.m. was northbound on Highway 179 near Route Z, when a deer ran out into the road in front of him. Burton swerved off the left side of the road and struck a ditch and a sign. His Chevrolet Tahoe overturned.

Burton, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics took him in an ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
