California man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

A Mid-Missouri motorcyclist was seriously injured Saturday in a Cole County crash, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

Zachery Parks-Wagner, 32, of California, was driving a 2017 Harley Davidson Rearglide Ultra motorcycle eastbound on Lookout Trail behind Albert Heimricks, 83, of Centertown, who was driving a 2007 Dodge 2500 pickup truck.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., east of Route Z, Heimricks slowed to make a right turn, causing Parks-Wagner to strike the rear of the truck. Parks-Wagner, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected from the motorcycle.

He received serious injuries and was air lifted to University Hospital in Columbia. Heimricks was uninjured.
