One week, three meets

California track and field competed in Boonville, Osage and Hallsville

California High School track and field competed at three meets over the last week and a half.

First, on April 14, California went to Boonville and competed at the McCush Relays. California ended the day with three first-place finishes, three second-place finishes, eight third-place finishes, three fourth-place finishes and two fifth-place finishes.

Kenzleigh Goans won three events in Boonville. Goans won the girls 800-meter dash with a time of two minutes and 33.2 seconds, the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:50.63 and the girls 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:49.18.

Emma Braby took third place in both the girls shot put with a throw of 9.95 meters and the girls javelin with a throw of 29.98 meters. Braby also took fourth place in the girls discus with a throw of 28.75 meters.

Hailey Rademan finished in third place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:03.22.

Lauren Friedrich finished in third place in the girls 200-meter dash with a time of 28.34 seconds.

Allie Heather took fourth place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:04.93.

The girls 4x100 meter relay team of Ella Percival, Kierstyn Lawson, Penelope Cotten and Lauren Friedrich took fourth place in the event with a combined time of 53.77 seconds.

The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Allie Heather, Tayte Higgins, Lauren Friedrich and Hailey Rademan took third place in the event with a time of 1:52.73.

The girls 4x400 meter relay team of Allie Heather, Tayte Higgins, Kierstyn Lawson and Hailey Rademan took second place in the event with a time of 4:19.41.

Ayden Bryant took third place in both the boys 100-meter dash with a time of 11.67 seconds, and the boys long jump with a jump of 5.97 meters.

Tyler Oden finished second place in the boys long jump with a jump of 5.98 meters. Oden also took fifth place in the boys triple jump with a jump of 10.62 meters.

Ian Miller finished third place in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 52.80 seconds.

Jackson Hensley finished third place in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.68 seconds.

Walker Friedmeyer finished third place in the boys triple jump with a jump of 11.70 meters.

The boys 4x100 meter relay team of Tyler Oden, Tristan Balsley, Jackson Hensley and Ayden Bryant took fourth place in the event with a time of 46.18 seconds.

The boys 4x800 meter relay team of Damien Pace, Hayden Hern, Andrew Reed and Ian Miller took fifth place in the events with a time of 9:32.77.

In Boonville, the Lady Pintos finished the invitational with a fourth-place finish in the team competition with a total of 92 points. The Pintos took sixth place in the team invitational with 63.50 points.

On April 18, California traveled to Osage Beach for the Osage High School Invitational. In Osage, California had four first-place finishes, seven second-place finishes, eight third-place finishes and one fourth-place finish. California also set 12 new personal records.

Kenzleigh Goans won the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:55.63. Goans also finished second place in the girls 800-meter run with a personal best time of 2:30.62.

Emma Braby won the girls shot put with a personal best throw of 9.96 meters. Braby also took second place in the girls javelin with a throw of 31.44 meters and third place in the girls discus with a throw of 27.76 meters.

Abby Braby took second place in both the girls shot put with a throw of 9.28 meters and the girls discus with a personal best throw of 29.22 meters.

Hailey Rademan finished second place in the girls 400-meter dash with a personal best time of 1:02.63.

Lauren Friedrich took third place in the girls 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 27.72 seconds.

Allie Heather finished third place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.24.

The girls 4x100 meter relay team of Penelope Cotten, Tayte Higgins, Lauren Friedrich and Kierstyn Lawson won the relay with a combined time of 53.77 seconds.

The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Allie Heather, Tayte Higgins, Lauren Friedrich and Hailey Rademan won the relay with a personal best time of 1:51.67.

Ayden Bryant finished second place in the boys 100-meter dash with a personal best time 11.31 seconds. Bryant also took third place in the boys long jump with another personal best with a jump of 6.05 meters.

Walker Friedmeyer took second place in the boys triple jump with a personal best jump of 12.15 meters.

Peter Dampf finished third place in the boys shot put with a personal best throw of 12.09 meters.

Ian Miller took third place in the boys 800-meter run with a time of 2:09.48.

Tristan Balsley took fourth place in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a personal best time of 46.22 seconds.

The boys 4x100 meter relay team of Tyler Oden, Brooks Volkart, Jackson Hensley and Ayden Bryant finished third place in the relay with a personal best time of 45.50 seconds.

The boys 4x800 meter relay team of Damien Pace, Hayden Hern, Andrew Reed and Ian Miller finished third place in the relay with a personal best time of 9:03.93.

California raced again on Friday at the Tomahawk Relays in Hallsville. California finished the Tomahawk Relays with ten first-place finishes, three second-place finishes, seven third-place finishes, two fourth-place finishes and three fifth-place finishes.

Kenzleigh Goans won three events at the Tomahawk Relays. Goans won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:32.72, the girls 1,600-meter run with a time of 6:00.74 and the girls 3,200-meter run with a time of 14:14.15.

Emma Braby won both the girls shot put with a throw of 9.65 meters and the girls discus with a throw of 28.44 meters. Braby also took fourth place in the girls javelin with a throw of 26.25 meters.

Abby Braby finished second place in the girls discus with a throw of 26.01 meters. Braby also finished third place in the girls shot put with a new personal best throw of 9,41 meters.

Lauren Friedrich took second place in the girls 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 28.23 seconds.

Hailey Rademan finished second place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.29.

Allie Heather finished third place in the girls 400-meter dash with a time of 1:07.74.

The girls 4x100 meter relay team of Ella Percival, Tayte Higgins, Lauren Friedrich and Hailey Rademan won the relay with a time of 53.90 seconds.

The girls 4x200 meter relay team of Allie Heather, Tayte Higgins, Lauren Friedrich and Hailey Rademan won the relay with a time of 1:53.51.

The girls 4x400 meter relay team of Allie Heather, Tayte Higgins, Kenzleigh Goans, Hailey Rademan and Lauren Friedrich won the relay with a time of 53.90 seconds.

Ian Miller won the boys 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:00.20. Miller also finished third place in the boys 400-meter dash with a time of 54.41 seconds.

Andrew Reed finished third place in the boys 800-meter run with a new personal best time of 2:21.31. Reed also took fifth place in the boys 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:03.93.

Jackson Hensley took third place in the boys 110-meter hurdles with a new personal best time of 16.82 seconds.

Tristan Balsley took third place in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 48,92 seconds.

Tyler Oden finished third place in the boys long jump with a jump of 5.74 meters.

Hayden Hern took fourth place in the boys 3,200-meter run with a time of 12:26.95.

Lance Clevenger finished fourth place in the boys 300-meter hurdles with a time of 50.68 seconds.

Griffin Booth took fifth place in the boys shot put with a throw of 11.95 meters.

Walker Friedmeyer won the boys triple jump with a new personal best jump of 12.20 meters. Friedmeyer also took fifth place in the boys long jump with a jump of 5.52 meters.

The boys 4x400 meter relay team of Jackson Hensley, Brooks Volkart, Walker Friedmeyer, Ian Miller, Lance Clevenger and Preston Flora took third place in the relay with a time of 3:51.45.

California had a strong overall day at the Tomahawk Relays. The Lady Pintos finished second place in the girls team rankings with 139 points, while the Pintos finished third place in the boys team rankings with 106 points.

California's next meet will be on Friday at Holden.
