Chamber finishes storage unit project, approves new rent

The California Area Chamber of Commerce met on Thursday to discuss usage of its storage unit, its annual dinner meeting set for late January and the next location for its evening business mixer.

Chamber Executive Secretary Sandra Ratcliff reported the organization's storage unit had been cleaned out. However, the price to use the unit will go up in 2024. The cost will increase from $480 to $600 a year. Members approved to increase the Chamber's yearly payment as it is still a cost-effective price for the Chamber to use regularly.

Chamber member Chelsea McGill reported the organization's next business mixer will be at Sweet Chipotle on Feb. 16. It will be held at Capital Region Medical Center in March, although no date has been set at this time.

Member Becky Collier reported the auction for the annual dinner meeting on Jan. 28 is being finalized. Trenton Barbour will be returning to run the auction services for the event.
