Two-car collision leaves five injured

A two-car collision Saturday morning in Morgan County left five people with injuries, including three juveniles.

Brandlee Stilfield, 38, of Barnett, was driving a 2008 Toyota Sienna west on Missouri Route 52 with three juvenile passengers, ages 13-15, also from Barnett.

Shortly after 9:40 a.m., just east of Jefferson Street, the minivan struck the rear of a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by James Lutz, 76, of Tipton, as it stopped to make a turn.

The pickup traveled off the right side of the roadway while the minivan came to a rest in the roadway. Both vehicles were totaled, according to the Highway Patrol crash report.

Stilfield received moderate injuries and his juvenile passengers received minor, moderate and serious injuries. They were all taken by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital. Lutz received minor injuries and was transported by private conveyance to St. Mary's Hospital.
