Highway Patrol reports three Mid-Missouri crashes, one fatality


A 20-year-old St. Louis woman died after a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Morgan County. The crash occurred at 6:20 p.m. a half-mile east of Old Highway 50 on U.S. 50.

Bridget M Burgoon was traveling westbound when her vehicle spun out on a slick patch, sending the truck into the path of Chad R Guendelsberger, 43, in the eastbound lane, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

Burgoon was transported by ambulance to SSM St. Mary's Hospital where she was pronounced dead at 8:18 p.m.

Guendelsberger, of Weston, was taken to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia with minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

An Osage Beach woman suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Morgan County.

Macey B Novogradac, 31, was traveling south on Missouri 5 at Gravois Heights Road when she tried to pass a vehicle and hit Meghan F Milligan, 28, head-on.

Novogradac's car was sent off the right side of the road and overturned in a driveway, according to the Highway Patrol report. She was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by Mid MO Ambulance.

Milligan, of Stover, received no injuries and was able to drive away from the scene.

Two Crocker women were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 5 p.m. Sunday in Miller County.

Kathy L. Talmage was driving eastbound on Route U about 2,200 feet north of Route EE when the vehicle went off the left side of the road, overturned and hit a fence.

The Highway Patrol report said the vehicle was traveling too fast for the road conditions at the time.

Talmage, 63, was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

The passenger, 43-year-old Myra L. Logan, who was not wearing a seat belt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the same hospital.
